In our records the tapwater in Zadar is very clean and drinkable. Most local people drink water from the tap. Bottled water is not wide spread and most used for sparkling water.
Your vacation in Zadar will be superb. The air and water quality is below expectation, but that can be expected from this city of more than 10 million people. The city is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea on three sides from one side is Croatias main island Gorizia, and from the other two are islands Zagreb and Dubrovnik. Both are rich in history and culture. you can visit them all together as a day trip. From here, you also have access to beautiful coastal scenery, which is the best way to enjoy your stay in this town. Also, Zdravlje is a popular spot for swimming because it has a very nice beach, as well as restaurants, bars, clubs, and a lot of tourist attractions. On our last day, we took some of the most beautiful hikes in Croatia, with a couple of hours of rest before starting the next leg of our journey. These hikes were not only about hiking, they were about exploring the surrounding landscape. If you dont want to get too lost, then you should hire a guide who knows how to navigate around Zudrila, a small fishing town located between Gorizian and Zlatiborna. This is what we did when we visited this area. After having lunch, the four of us set out on our way back to Croatia. Our trip was planned meticulously, including information about where to go and what to see. As we got closer to our departure point, it became clear that we were going to take a shorter route compared to what was included in our itinerary. So, I decided to head south instead of north along the coast road, just to try to save time. I could have followed my original route, however, at a later stage, after we had already reached our destination, these plans changed dramatically.
Sightseeing in Zadar is astonishing. The old city is built around a long bridge that stretches across the Adriatic Sea to Croatias mainland. A few miles inland, theres another massive stone archway, called Bruna Bridge. It connects the Old and New City of Zagreb with the rest of the country. The sightseeing here is extensive covering most of Croatia as well as the Balkans, and includes many of Europes top attractions. And its all possible without having to leave the city center. For instance, if you want to see how a medieval fortress was built, check out this great guide from an awardwinning architect. Or why you might want some time to explore this stunning Dalmatian coastline. You can also go off the beaten track or just spend a day wandering around the historic town. See below for more detailsWe spent a night in Plonik and it was a wonderful place to stay. There is a lot of activity going on in this city and the accommodation is very comfortable and clean. All rooms had balconies and there were nice views over the rooftops. I would recommend this place because of its location right on the beach. On my second day I went exploring around and stayed at a nearby resort.
