In our records the tapwater in Nantes is bad. You can use tapwater to cook, but it is not drinkable. Please use bottled water.
Nantes is in case of water quality very bad.lognA big problem with water, and many other things, is that it's all too easy tomislead people about what you're doing. It's not just the chemicals, but thefact that everything we think we know about how a thing works is wrong. Wecan't tell when something is good or bad because we can never measure it. Andit's really hard to test for things like this. What we need is a way to seewhat's in the water before we drink it, whether it be at home or work. Thenwe could stop guessing and actually do something about it!Also, if you do buy bottled water... well, now you know...httpswww.pewresearch.orgcorporates20160301bottledwi...httpswww....BottledwaterisbadforyourhealthThe problem isn't the chemical itself, its the lack of understanding on howto use it properly. I say well, I used to think that bottled waters weregood for me, until I went to college where they didnt have any.Nowadays, we are told that drinking water is so important, there is no reasonwhy we shouldnt drink water. But our minds arent trained to understand whydrinking water matters. The problem is even more complex than that. There aremany different factors that determine health as well as safety. So whileour society has become much more aware of its impact on us, especially ondiseases like obesity, cancer, diabetes, etc., we still havent figured outhow to treat those conditions once they occur. This is an issue that hasaffected millions of people over the years. If we donÄt learn how to avoidall these risks, then we may not get healthy again. A recent study conductedat Yale University showed that women who consumed more alcohol during theirlifetime had a 70 higher risk of getting breast cancer than women whosealcohol consumption was low. 1Its also difficult to identify exactly what type of food we should eat.
There are various activities in and around Nantes.SightseeingNantes, the French city on the Seine river, has a number of attractions including the Cathedral, a Gothicstyle church which was begun in 1240 and finished in 1330. The cathedral contains an impressive collection of sculptures by Jean Goujon. There are also other sights such as the Muse des Beaux Arts the museum houses artworks from the 16th century to the present and the Musee de la Photographie et d'Oeuvres Graphiques. These museums feature a wealth of paintings and sculptures. It is also possible to visit some of the churches here. For instance the Basilique Notre Dame des Victoires, dating back to 1189, is a large complex of buildings containing some beautiful frescos. Other churches include the Church du Roi, with some early stained glass, and St Radegonde, built in the Middle Ages. Navettes, located in an old building, have been restored and are one of few remaining examples of Romanesque architecture in France. One of Nantimes most striking architectural landmarks is the Jardin Public, constructed in 1725. This garden is situated in what is called le parc public, or public park, where you can see a variety of plants and trees. Another interesting sight is Le Palais des Sports de Paris, designed by Claude Perrault. Built in 1877, this is perhaps the oldest sports centre in Europe. A walk through the gardens will take you past numerous statues that represent famous athletes. Also included in these gardens are sculptures created by artists of various nationalities. Finally, there is La Tour Eiffel, which is known for its many structures erected during the 20th Century. Its most famous structure is probably its central tower, completed in 1937. Here you may enjoy a 360 degree view of Paris. All of these places are only a short stroll away from Nanteis station.
