Water Pollution in Chemnitz

While visiting Chemnitz you will notice the water quality is decent. In Chendorf, you can take a bus which takes you to the city center and from there you have a car or train ride of around 30 minutes. You can also take public transport but they are not so well maintained as the private cars. The cost per person is 4 for a day pass. They dont provide a map either. If you do want to rent a bike, there are a few bicycle rental shops in Chessau about 10 minutes drive away. It should be noted that the cycling infrastructure in this part of Germany is quite bad. I had an experience with one of the local bikers on the way to my hotel at about 300 am it was raining and I was trying to get through a heavy downpour when he decided to leave me standing in the road. In Chemsdorf itself, bikes are allowed only on sidewalks and in some areas along main roads. But if you go by bike taxi, most of these places are just too far away for comfort. Also, many biker gangs are active here. So expect to see a lot of aggressive behavior. And no, I don't recommend riding on a sidewalk during a rainstorm. It may seem safer than riding your bike in a street where there is a big traffic jam. As for the weather, it's mostly good outdoors. There were some minor thunderstorms last night though. No hail or lightning. A nice sunny day today. Just like the other days after the storm. On the downside, the sun is shining less often now. After 6 hours of travel, we finally reached Dresden. We stopped into Dresden for dinner at a restaurant right next to our hotel. This place was fantastic. Not only did we get to eat out, but we got to stay in style. All of our meals were delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. My sister and mother ordered fish dishes. Both of them loved the food and both of us could tell that they really enjoyed the dining experience. Although, neither of their dinners were particularly memorable. Their fish dish was very good. However, their chicken was not outstanding. To be honest, even though I'm not a fan of chicken, she seemed to like it. Maybe because she has been eating it all her life. Of course, since I haven't cooked anything lately, maybe it wasn't the best choice. Overall, everything was great.

Scale is from 0 to 100 while 0 represents the least water pollution thus the best water quality. A value below 50 is considered safe to drink in most cases.

About Chemnitz

Stay in Chemnitz and expierience a wonderful time. The city was alive with activity, the streets lined with shops, and many people were out and about. We stayed at one of the best hotels in town, called Hotel Pritzker. It is a lovely hotel, decorated in style like a home, with lots of great antiques and artwork. They have a very nice gym on the property, complete with an indoor pool. We had a room overlooking the main square where we could take in the scene from the outside as well as the inside. There was a big outdoor courtyard for the kids to play in. Our rooms were located on three floors, but there was plenty of room upstairs if you needed it. One bathroom also has a view of this courtyard. You can walk around all day long without having to go up four flights of stairs. I love this hotel!I will definitely stay here again. My husband and I are planning to come back next year. Thanks to all the staff who helped make our stay so enjoyable. If you ever get the chance to stay at Hotel pritzkirchberg please do check out this place. Great value for money and worth every minute of your stay. Best regards,Greta DufauPrix cheminotisgretadufehuonline.de06.03.2014from AustriaRoom Tip The view from our rooms is beautiful. A few minutes walk away from Schwerin Castle, it is easy to reach most attractions in this region. This hotel offers good rates for its location. Although the area is relatively quiet, there are many restaurants and pubs nearby.
